Larix Elektro (LE): Tree. Fictional species of the larch family (Larix Decidua). That's just because it's an iconic tree in LE's birthplace ;-)
LE is dedicated to the manufacture of equipment for music, primarily modules in Eurorack format. But maybe more in the future.
In use, each modular system is different, the final user will use the modules in his own way, connected to modules unexpected by the manufacturer.
And that's the whole point of modular! But the module must be designed with unexpected uses in mind.
To do this, the module must not be limited to a single use, but must remain as open as possible, and go beyond what is a priori planned by the manufacturer.
But also the module must be able to communicate as much as possible with its rack neighbors, i.e. to be able to "understand" what is sent to it, and to send a maximum information to other modules.
More simply: a maximum of parameters controllable by CV, a routing as open as possible, and for the "sequencer" modules, to be able to synchronize (Reset IN) but also to synchronize other modules (End Of Cycle OUT).
And have a wider operating range than what seems necessary for the settings.
Each LE module is designed with these few concepts in mind.
The guy behind LE has been using modular synthesizers for over 25 years. First with an old RSF Kobol Expander (I and II) and an old Elektor Formant (deeply rebuilt), then with its own home-made modules.
He also used the Nord Micro Modular and the G2, virtual modular synths.
Passionate about experimentation and sound research, computer tools such as Puredata and especially MAX/MSP have also been explored in depth.
Each module is the result of this long experience and is designed according to a need that has been identified and tested, thus guaranteeing the relevance of the module.
Notes about the use of the modules
The modules were tested inserted into a metal case, with a power supply to deliver appropriate voltages as well as enough current to make it work properly.
The use of this module in a poorly insulated box can generate or be disturbed by electromagnetic interference.
Similarly, a poor quality or poorly sized power supply may damage the module or cause it to function incorrectly.
In these cases, the module itself cannot be held liable for any damage caused.
The module is protected against a reversal of the power cable, but can be damaged if the voltage is really too high.
If you are not comfortable with the problems of electricity, call a competent person to help you in the installation of the module.
Use only 3.5mm mini-jack MONO cables. And only connect Eurorack-compatible modules to each other as input and output.
Any signal from a source that is not compatible with Eurorack modules can potentially damage the module.
Similarly, LE modules cannot be held liable for damage to non-Eurorack compatible hardware if this one has been connected to an LE module.
That's it for the official part, but don't panic!
Tests have been done with commercial equipment in different configurations, and so far there have never been any problems.
It is still better to have a well-insulated box because parasites can be added to the signal of the modules.
If you are not familiar with electronics, prefer commercial boxes. This is especially true for power supplies: a poorly designed power supply can damage the modules.
To avoid various problems, electromagnetic, but not only, complete the empty spaces with blind front panels (Blank panels).
LE try to respect the environment as much as possible. The standards require the use of non-polluting materials (RoHS) and that's a good idea! The packaging has been reduced to a minimum to save raw material, and remove plastic as much as possible.
It is also for this reason that you will not find stickers or other goodies in the box!
Potentially fragile modules are wrapped in antistatic bubble wrap (plastic !).
For your part, if the module has reached the end of its life (hopefully: which will be long...), do not throw it anywhere: it can be recycled. Refer to existing options near you, such as appliance collections.

The general conditions of sale described below detail the rights and obligations of
LARIX-ELEKTRO and its customer in connection with the sale of all goods presented on this site.
Any service performed by
LARIX-ELEKTRO therefore implies the buyer's unreserved acceptance of these general conditions of sale.
2- PRICES
The prices of the goods sold are those in force on the day of the order. They are denominated in euros and calculated net
LARIX-ELEKTRO being exempt from VAT (according to Article 293-B of the CGI). Consequently, they will be increased by the transport costs applicable on the day of the order.
LARIX-ELEKTRO reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. However, he undertakes to invoice the goods ordered at the prices indicated when registering the order.
3- Discounts and rebates
The proposed rates include rebates and rebates that LARIX-ELEKTRO would have to grant under conditions.
4- Discounts

7- DELIVERY
Delivery is made to the place indicated by the buyer during the payment phase.
The service provider generally used is the company "La Poste" (or service providers depending on the country), with tracking number*. If you want another means of delivery, do not hesitate to contact us. The rates offered by
LARIX-ELEKTRO include packaging and shipping.
The total price indicated on the order form includes shipping costs.
The delivery time indicated when registering the order is given for information purposes only and is in no way guaranteed.
Consequently, any reasonable delay in the delivery of the products will not give rise to the benefit of the buyer to:
- the award of damages;
- cancellation of the order.
- The risk of transport is supproted in full by the buyer.
In case of missing or damaged goods during transport, the buyer must make all necessary reservations on the order form upon receipt of the said goods. These reservations must also be confirmed in writing within five days of delivery, by registered mail of receipt.
WARNING:
The international shipping charges are available under shipping. Additional customs duties and charges for deliveries to countries outside the EU (third countries) shall be borne by the customer.
8- Force majeure

LARIX-ELEKTRO can not be implemented if the non-execution or delay in the execution of one of its obligations described in these general conditions of sale results from a case of force majeure. As such, force majeure means any external, unforeseeable and irresistible event within the meaning of Article 1148 of the Civil Code.
9- Tribunal compétent
Any dispute relating to the interpretation and execution of these general conditions of sale is subject to French law.
In the absence of an amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the Commercial Court of Annecy.

WARRANTY
All products are covered by a 2-year warranty, as per EU Warranty Law.
Warranty does not cover any failures caused by the user as (but not limited to): using an improper power supply, mishandling of the device, exposition to extreme temperature/moisture/dust levels.
Warranty covers the shipping fee to ship the replacement/repaired device to the user. Once the device has been returned to us, we’ll give an estimate of the time needed to replace/repair it.
RETURNS
All products can be returned within 14 days after the delivery, as per EU Right of Withdrawal.
